This list shows some of the events scheduled for 2010 in Achill, including the dates of Public Holidays in Ireland and the UK, along with dates for popular occasions; more events will be added as they are announced and full details will be published as soon as they become available. - Achill Lecture & Presentation
- Achill Historical and Archaeological Society hosts a presentation by Jonathan Beaumont, author of Achillbeg: The Life of an Island and Rails to Achill: A West of Ireland Branch Line.
Venue: Ted Lavelles, Cashel. 8pm sharp. Entry €5 members, €10 non-members.
Friday 5th March
- Drama: 'A Wake in the West'
- Balla Drama Group presents Michael Joe Ginnelly's play 'A Wake in the West', followed by music from The Mulloy Bros.
Venue: Nevins Newfield Inn, Tiernaur. 8.30pm. Adults €10, children / seniors €5.
Saturday 13th - Sunday 14th March
- Digital Survey & Mapping Course

- St. Patrick's Day Walks Festival
- Four days of guided walks on Achill's spectacular hills and mountains.
Wednesday 17th March
- St. Patrick's Day
- Ireland's national day, also a Public Holiday, sees fun and festivities on Achill including the famous Pipe Bands.

- Pipe Band Festival
- Five of Achill's pipe bands take part in parades and events to mark St. Patrick's Day.

- Scoil Acla
- One of Ireland's oldest summer schools, Scoil Acla, celebrates its centenery in 2010 and plans an exciting line-up of events to celebrate, including of course the traditional week-long lessons in traditional Irish music and dance.
Saturday 31st July
- The Big Whistle!
- As part of the centenary celebration of Scoil Acla, Keel beach will host an attempt at the world record for the number of people playing a tune on the tin whistle.

- Achill Golf Club hosts open competitions at Keel. Includes the Achill Tourism Golf Competition on 31st July.
