- Achill Marathon
- Half marathon held in Keel. Celebrations planned for this event include a Fancy Dress competition.
6th July
- Summer Surf Camp
- First week of a summer surf camp for children aged 10-16 years old. Surf Camp runs from July to August. More details on Surf Camp
9th - 13th July
- Féile Bia Na Mara / Seafood Festival
- A busy schedue includes seafood tastings, cookery demonstrations, Achill's Got Talent competition, Cailín Óg contest and restaurant promotions. Special guest appearances by TV chef Clodagh McKenna. Full Schedule

- Official Opening of Féile Bia Na Mara
- Official opening of Féile Bia Na Mara / Seafood Festival by TV chef Clodagh McKenna, followed by gala seafood buffet at Óstán Oileán Acla. (Full Details)

- 'Bare Bones' course at the Achill Archaeological Field School. Excavation of trenches at the south and west of Roundhouse 2. Includes basic instruction & supervision in excavation / planning / surveying while on-site.
August 11th
- Archaeology Lecture
- Evening public lectures organised by the Achill Archaeological Field School. Holger Schweitzer, M.A. Underwater Archaeology Unit, Dept Environment, Heritage & Local Government, presents 'The Drogheda Boat - Excavation, Recording and Analysis of a 16th century wreck'. 8.30pm Folklife Centre, Dooagh.
August 24th - 28th
- Archaeology Introductory Course
- 'Introduction to Irish Archaeology' course at the Achill Archaeological Field School. Excavations during this week long course will focus upon the entrance to House 23 on Slievemore and the pathways that lead up to it.
August 31st - Sept 2nd
- Archaeology Introductory Course
- '3 Day Taster' course at the Achill Archaeological Field School. Includes field trips to megalithic tombs, basic archaeological techniques & opportunity to participate in ongoing excavation.
- Inishbiggle Island Festival
- Events include yawl racing, fishing competition, currach racing, live music and activities for children including treasure hunt and face painting.
