Mulranny, Co Mayo, Ireland
Located at the gateway to the Curraun Peninsula and beyond to Achill, Mulranny is beautiful village overlooking the Atlantic waters of Clew Bay. The village is surrounded by mountain terrain, wooded areas, coastline, sheltered bays, rivers and of course the sea. Mulranny is a vibrant tourist destination which offers a wide variety of activities and services. In 2011 the Great Western Greenway - which passes through the village of Mulranny - together with the restored Mulranny Park Hotel, Loop Walk and the Mulranny Causeway were awarded the EDEN European Destination of Excellence Award for Sustainable Tourism.
