Summer Surf Camp
Achill Island, July - August 2009
Blackfield Surfing is organising a summer surf camp for kids to run five mornings per week for children aged 10 to 16 during the months of July and August. We can open this to 8 years upwards if a parent or guardian is willing to stay until we are sure the child is comfortable being on the camp by themselves. The first camp will begin on Monday 6th of July at 9.15.am at the Blackfield surf shop where we will take registration and organise wetsuits and equipment before the camp gets underway at 10.00am. We will be focussing only on surfing and the camp will obviously include lots of instruction and surfing time as well as looking at surf rescue and basic lifesaving and first aid, water safety, beach life, the marine environment and the life aquatic in general!
The camp will run from 10.00 am until 12.30 am 5 days per week and will cost 100 euros per child for a full weeks activity. There may be opportunities for attendance of shorter duration but places are limited to eight children and preference will be given to those taking a full weeks camp.
We're taking bookings for all weeks up to and including the week beginning the 17th of August, and offer a 10% discount for early booking (must be at least two weeks before the beginning of the camp).
