Friday 13th March
Reception. 10pm Óstán Oileán Acla
Welcome Wine and Cracker Reception at Óstán Oileán Acla, Achill Sound, to brief participants on walks festival timetable.
Saturday 14th March / De Sathairn 14iú Márta
Achill Two Peaks Challenge
This is a hillwalk to test your stamina as you are guided over Achill's two highest hills, Croaghaun and Slievemore. The pace will be steady as you are led through spectacular mountain and seacliff scenery.
Sunday 15th March / Dé Domhnaigh 15iú Márta
Curraun Hill
Explore Corraun Hill's hanging valleys, truncated spurs and corrie lakes. Enjoy the situation of this remote hill that offers a 360 degree vista of the surrounding hills, sea and Islands.
Sunday 9pm - Slide show and table quiz.
Monday 16th March / Dé Luain 16iú Márta
Coffin Trail Walk / An Cosán Cónra
Walk this very old pathway that hovers above the Atlantic Ocean and hear the lore and stories of old. Continue on and explore coves and cliff scenery from a vantage point of 800ft above sea level before descending to a Dún and returning along the Atlantic shoreline.
Monday 17th March / Dé Máirt 17iú Márta
Walk with the Achill Bands
This is a free day-two options are available:-
1. - A unique opportunity to walk and march with the Achill Pipe Bands through the villages of lower Achill and listen to the music of the highland pipes and drums.
2. - Choose a route out of the Achill Walks Booklet.
We will be delighted to give advice on either.
This festival package is offered by Óstán Oileán Acla and Achill native Tomás Mac Lochlainn who is a Professional International Mountain Leader.

Tomás is an Achill native with an insight into Achills history and archaeology.
The International Mountain Leader is the recognised qualification for leading others professionally (ie.for reward) throughout Europe and abroad.
All walks are covered by Professional Indemnity Insurance and Full Public Liability Insurance.
SAFETY :- Please note that all walks are hillwalks requiring full hillwalking equipment. Pre-registration is required as numbers are restricted.
