Come and enjoy some light refreshments, take the opportunity to meet your guides and fellow walkers, and enjoy a presentation by guest speaker Brid Colhoun from Ballycroy National Park.
Saturday 5th May 2012
Walk A: Glendahurk Horseshoe
Grade: A, Strenuous
Duration: 7 Hours
Departure Point: Achill Tourism Office, Achill Sound @9am sharp. Transport can be provided at an extra charge of €5. Otherwise meeting point is at Nevins Bar & Restaurant, Newfield, Mulranny @9.30am. PRE-REGISTRATION is essential.
Cost: €15 per adult + €5 Transport
Located in the Nephin Begs this walk combines a superb sense of wilderness with magnificent views. This walk is physically demanding but extremely rewarding.
Walk B: Ballycroy National Park
Duration: 4 Hours
Departure Point: The Ballycroy National Park Visitors Centre. Meet @ 9.45am, walk departs 10am sharp.
Pre-registration is required for this walk as numbers are limited. Please note this walk is not suitable for under-13s.
Take this opportunity to visit our National park, accompanied by a local guide enjoying all that it has to offer. Please note, proper walking boots should be worn as this walk will cover rough terrain. Details of how to get to the Visitor's Centre are on the home page of the Ballycroy National Park website.

Walk A: Annagh / Saddlehead
Grade: A, Moderate to Strenuous
Duration: 6 Hours
Departure Point: Dooagh Beach Car Park @10am
Cost: €15 per Adult
Enjoy a walk which will visit many archaeological sites, and walkers can enjoy the stunning views which Achill has in abundance.

Walk B: Dooagh to Keel / Paul Henry Walk
Duration: 4 Hours
Departure Point: Dooagh Beach Car Park@11am
Cost: €15 per Adult, €7.50 per child
A circular walk starting at Dooagh strand and following the shoreline to Keel. It continues inland to the Deserted Village at Slievemore and returns along a bog road to Dooagh. Points of interest include Gubalennaun Beg, Purteen Pier and the Deserted Village.
Sunday Evening 4pm:
Venue: Gielty's Clew Bay, Dooagh, Achill Island @ 4pm
Join fellow walkers for light refreshments and presentatiom of Certificates and Commemorative Pins.
Night time Walk
Duration: 4 Hours
Departure Point: Walkers will be collected from the Car Park Area on Minaun, beside the Television Masts @, time will be confirmed in due course, and transported to the starting point of the walk. Time TBC
Cost: €15 per adult
Experience the night life in Achill! Enjoy sunset in Achill from the vantage point of the Coffin Trail. List of required equipment TBC.

Walk: The Golden Strand – Ridge Point
Duration: 3 Hours
Departure Point: Masterson's Bar & Restaurant, The Golden Strand Dugort @10.30am
Enjoy this lowland looped walk across one of Achill’s finest Blue Flag Beaches, taking in the fantastic views of Slievemore and the Erris Peninsula.
Cost: €15 per adult, €7.50 per Child.
Pre-booking Essential, closing date for receipt of complete forms is Monday 30th April.
Numbers are limited for the Grade A walks.
All walks leave at stated time.
Please wear suitable clothing (warm walking clothes, walking boots, rain gear) and bring sufficient food, snacks and drinks.
A head torch, walking boots and rain gear are required for the night walk.
Don't forget to bring a camera!
