Achill Walks Festival / Féile Siúlóidí Acla

2014 Walks Festivals

Summer Solstice Walks
21st June 2014

Watch the sun rise over Achill on the longest day of the year then later that evening watch the sun set on the western edge of the Island

Walk A:
First walk will leave Corrymore Lake at 3 am and climb to meet the sunrise for 5am on the summit of Croaghan, Achill's highest mountain. Afterwards return to the start.

Walk B:
Second walk will leave Keem Beach Car Park at 7.30 pm. We will make our way to the end of the Island for 10pm to watch the sun set after its busy day over Achill. Afterwards we will return to the start in darkness.

Cost: €15 per person per walk or both walks for €25 per person.

Boots and head torch required for both walks. Walks are subject to weather conditions and minimum numbers. For booking contact Gerard Mangan on 0868439683.

Féile Siúlóidí Acla / Achill Walks Festival
5th - 6th April 2014

Two guided walks on Saturday and Sunday.
